Tequila Tasting Club: Los Agaveros
Tequila lovers, unite!
The Liquid Chef, otherwise known as Junior Merino, is bringing his passion for tequila directly into your home with the new tequila club Los Agaveros. The senior mixologist known for his drink concoctions at nationwide restaurants including New York’s Payuela, CafĂ© Friday, 42 (inside White Plains’ Ritz Carlton) and more, has partnered up with some fellow tequila drinkers to educate and intoxicate fellow tequila connoisseurs.
The new club features up to six, hand selected tequilas that are distinct in their agave cooking method, distillation and aging process. The Jimador membership supplies three tequilas – a blanco, reposado and anejo – over the course of a six month period. Shots are a boys drink - The Liquid Chef takes this liquor much more seriously, partnering the Jimador membership with a bottle of Dainzu Gourmet cocktail mixer/ syrup, Dainzu Gourmet rimming salt and a recipe card.
The Conquistador membership is truly for someone ready to conquer every last drop of tequila on earth. In 12 months time, patrons receive six bottles of the hand selected alcohol via Merino, in addition to a recipe book built specifically for each anejo and reposado they acquire. This year long tequila subscription won’t only have you drinking tequila at every meal (tequila sunrise, anyone?) but will also have you out $525.
The new program was created by ForTequilaLovers, a site dedicated to the strong agave drink that has put many in the dog house. ForTequilaLovers partnered with some of the world’s tequila experts who can’t... http://www.execdigital.com/sectors/drinks/tequila-tasting-club-los-agaveros

Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas

The DJ is the focal point of Marquee. Music is certainly the main attraction of Marquee, where a 40-foot video wall designed by V Squared Labs Inc. will have resident and guest DJs spinning in front of custom visuals, while sound pumps through the Funktion One system and SJ Lighting plays off the walls. Though the dance floor is intimate and surrounded by VIP booths (think Lavo), an elevated second bar area is behind that, plus another dance floor and movable furnishings to adapt to the club’s needs on any given night.

Ascending one of three elevators up to the club on the newest Strip resort’s sixth floor, guests are greeted by the first of multiple bars; rich purple, gold and dark accents dominate the club throughout. The main room is to the left; on the right, stairs lead to the Boom Box room (but we’ll get to that later).

As go-go dancers in mirror-lined boxes work their magic, views of the Las Vegas Strip make up the back wall of windows. Off the main room is access to the Dayclub area where, though still under construction, elements will include outdoor gaming, a performance stage, two pools and eight super-cabanas, each with individual infinity pools, plus deluxe three-story bungalows where guests can party and stay the night.

In addition to the Nightclub space, Marquee will debut its Dayclub in the warmer spring months. Featuring Grand Cabanas with individual infinity pools, the Dayclub also boasts a multitude of three-story Bungalow Lofts, complete with a cabana, living quarters and a party.
