The elite are gearing up for the most anticipated summer retreat of the year – theCannes Film Festival. Along with celebrity clientele storming the area, fashion’s elite are equally as energized to be offering their freshest product in the sun-filled landscape of the French Riviera.
No brand better emulates the Cannes International Film Festival more so than LV – and in true Cannes Film Festival fashion, Louis Vuitton will reveal its first pop-up store adjacent to its original Cannes home on Croisette. The LV pop-up isn’t expected to necessarily reflect the permanent Louis Vuitton location that remains a favorite among Cannes locals, but will instead take a cue from the Cannes Film Festival itself in original LV merchandise a la the sea and cinema.

Visitors might reminisce about Wong Kar Wai’s “In the Mood for Love” or a trip to Shanghai, had they gone there in the ‘20s, as the LV pop-up décor was inspired by those eras. Separated into three cultures, the retailer created a “cocktail party by the pool,” “iconic evening” and “evening grand soir” – each room featuring items that mirror the theme. From classic jewelry items to stunning full length gowns, Cannes Film Festival attendees are sure to be stunned upon entering this temporary shop.
